Soldered Pendants- with Becca Jo
Our most popular class is back again! Create a personalized keepsake by encasing images under glass.
Use photos, fortunes, pressed flowers and more to create two one-of-a-kind pendants or ornaments.
Soldered pendants make wonderful heartfelt gifts for family and friends. Bring COPIES of photos or
images printed on non glossy paper, a favorite illustration from an old book or decorative paper.
Images should be no larger than 1.5 inches wide and no larger than 3 inches tall.
**This is a one session class** $30.00.

Coptic Book Binding- with Meg
Create a coptic bound book from recycled materials. We will repurpose old book covers (bring your own,
or choose one in class) and bring new life to it by transforming it into a photo album, sketchbook or journal.
Coptic books are great for journals because they lay completely flat when open.
Students will choose the type of paper, cover style and size of their book. You will learn basic book binding
techniques including folding, sewing and creating signatures.

Knitting a Market Bag- with Misty
A great spring project to get you ready to visit the Farmer’s Market. This simple lacy market bag is not only
functional but is a great way to learn a basic lace pattern. We will also be adding some embellishments in the
form of knitted flowers. This class is intended for students with basic knitting skills.
Knitters will need 261 yards of worsted weight yarn, preferably cotton or another durable & washable
fiber and one US #8 16″ circular needle.

Girl’s Ruffle Skirt- with Maclore
In just a couple of hours you can turn a pile of t-shirts into an adorable ruffle skirt with major twirly appeal!
Draft your own simple pattern which can be made in any size you choose. You’ll need to bring a skirt or pair
of pants to create your basic pattern ( this is only used for size reference), 4-5 t-shirts you no longer wear, 1
yard of 1″ waistband elastic, thread, scissors and a sewing machine.
Basic sewing skills are required. $30.00

Buttercream Spring Flowers- with Jess
Class begins with a demo on how to make delicious buttercream icing! Yum.
Learn to ice cupcakes like a pro and create buttercream roses, daffodils & daisies- just in time for spring!
All students take home a fabulous recipe for buttercream icing, decorating skills & supplies and a yummy
cupcake or two!

Mason Jar Hanging Lamp- with Maclore
Learn how to make just about anything into a hanging lamp with supplies found at the hardware store.
We’ll use Mason jars in class, but you’ll come away with the knowledge and a supply list that will allow you
to amaze your friends well into the future with your mad lamp-hacking skills. No one needs to know how
easy (and inexpensive) this can be.
All materials will be supplied in class.

Knitted Mermaid Gloves -with Misty
These fingerless gloves are a great introduction to a basic ribbed lace pattern and thumb gusset. This is a
perfect small beach project to get you ready for those cool August nights.
Knitters will need 2 skeins of sock yarn and a pair of size 2 knitting needles.
This class is intended for students with basic knitting skills.

Wednesday June 8th, 15th & 22nd 6-8 pm
Hair Accessories- with Maclore
Learn the basics for making headbands and barrettes that are as simple or over-the-top as you’d like!
We’ll use silk, satin, felt & other fabrics to create different types of flowers , adding feathers, tulle & sparkle
as desired. And yes!, you can even put a bird on it!
You’ll come away with at least one piece that you will be proud to wear or give as a gift, plus the skills and supply
list to make lots more at home. All supplies needed will be covered by the materials fee, but feel free to bring
elements that you’d like to incorporate into your work. Warning- this class is super fun!

Saturday June 11th 11am- 2pm
Copper Enameling – Introductory to Torch Enameling- with Steven James
No kiln? No problem! Use how to use a butane torch in a whole new way and hand fire enamel.
Take an easier approach to the process of fusing glass to metal with tips and tricks learned in class.
Create a variety of designs including pendants, earrings & gift tags while learning a new way to use
a truly versatile tool. If needed, torches can be provided -please let us know when registering if you
will need a butane torch (creme brulee torch)
**This is a one session class** Steven comes to us all the way from San Fran., so take this class while you can!

Torch Enameling 2: Transparents- with Steven James
Adding color to copper is a breeze with a professional-grade butane torch. Now you can take your
torch enameling techniques in new directions with the use of transparent enamels. Come to class
and play with a new palette of colors! Layer them on top of each other, cover fine silver & gold foil
shapes, or add it directly to the surface of stamped metal for amazing designs.

Foundations of Jewelry Making- with Larissa
Learn the ins & outs of jewelry making such as basic bead stringing, earring making and working with chain.
By the end of class you will have a beaded necklace, a necklace on chain & a pair of earrings that you have
Materials fee includes an earring kit, pendant kit & beaded necklace kit. There are a variety of styles to choose from.
Additional kits will be available to purchase for take home projects.

Knitted Coachella Camisole- with Misty
Make a simple knit halter with a T back perfect for hot July & August afternoons. Learn to knit in the round with simple
shaping up the body and a unique armhole construction. This is a great project for knitters new to garment knitting.
Knitters will need DK or worsted weight yarn and size 7 & 8 circular needles.

Drum Lampshade- with Kristen
Create a totally customized drum shade in one afternoon! You won’t believe how easy it is to make a custom shade to hang
on a pendant or use on an existing lamp. Students will need to bring a minimum of 1 yard of fabric – bring a variety to play with.
You can also bring trims such as pompoms, rick rack, etc. Kristen’s supply kit will include rings for the shade, styrene and
basic trim to finish the shade.

Saturday July 9th 10am -2pm
Mini Squares Quilted Pillow- with Rebecca
Prepare to amaze your friends & family with your attention to fine detail when you show off the pillow you’ve made from
121 individual 2″ squares. It may seem overwhelming, but we’ve got a trick to complete this project in one afternoon
using a quick piecing technique! In addition to piecing the pillow front, you will learn how to make an envelope back
closure for inserting your pillow form.
You’ll need to bring some fun fabrics and your sewing machine. Basic sewing skills required (i.e. you must know how
to use your sewing machine and sew a straight line)

Sunday July 10th 12-4pm
Hand Applique-with Kristen
Learn easy ways to embellish clothing or make a piece of art using patterned fabric, felt, embroidery floss, beads & buttons.
Basic embroidery stitches will be demonstrated and you will leave with finished applique and a snappy new skill!
Students need to bring printed fabric, embroidery needles, 3 skeins of embroidery floss, and an item to applique such as
a sweater, sweatshirt or skirt.
